Where we live, where you stay

Our cottage is a cozy home that feels comfortable and lived-in, with private access to the lake right from the garden.

We live right next door, around if you need anything, and happy to leave you to your own quiet days otherwise.

Three bedrooms, a fireplace, a garden

Three bedrooms, each with a queen bed and its own bathroom. A fully equipped kitchen, a fireplace, paddle boards waiting by the water.

The atmosphere is unhurried. Birds in the morning, changing light on the water through the day, a fire crackling in the evening.

Slow days

The lake, the garden, and you

Lake Kivu is safe and inviting for swimming. Step out of the garden and dive in straight from the dock, take the paddle boards out at sunrise, or settle into a lounge chair by the water.

On the water

A private boat at your door

Our comfort boat is at your disposal during your stay for trips and excursions on the lake. Guests of the cottage get a generous discount on the regular rates.

Day to day

What is here, and how it works

The cottage is a home with a fully equipped kitchen, so you cook for yourselves. Not up for shopping? We can bring back produce and groceries from the market in town. You can also order from the restaurant at the hotel just across the way, and we bring the food back by boat.
